My suite is darling and clean! The Manager is friendly and knowledgeable. The amenities are useful. I can see that Lydia Mountain Lodges, which just purchased this Budget Inn, is now upgrading the other suites to their high standards. The improvements are remarkable. Nicely done, yet again, Lydia!

Lydia's motel (Budget Inn) is a nice quiet motel. The manager there is as nice as it gt's bt they do hv rules like if u hv guest after 10p.m she requires there i.d. jus so she knows who's there. The place is kinda small but they hv a reasonable rate & even can book with a weekly rate. It's a nice little stop over on your way thru with a good rate. I recommend.

This place isn't very expensive, especially when u consider all other lodging around the area and their rate. I will say the newest owner is more strict and that's actually a good thing. Does not tolerate foolishness. Although shes in ur business and on the cameras, it helps to lower the amount of that may be lurking

Honestly, if I had just driven up to this motel, I wouldn't have stopped. But, I had already made a reservation (the same owner operates a motel just outside Shenandoah NP, but there were no vacancies there, so she sold me a room here). It's a pretty old motel in a location that makes no sense -- on a dead-end road, on the other side of the railroad tracks from town. But, once inside, it looked clean and fairly well maintained. The furniture consisted of folding chairs, but otherwise it had what I needed. Needs curtains on the window -- it only has venetian blinds that let a lot of light in. From the parking lot I could see in my neighbor's room, and he was obviously a long-term resident. But it seems the owner has a strict set of rules that keeps this place from filling up with bad folks. With the A/C on, you won't hear the trains. And I paid about $50 less than I would have at a name-brand motel in the area. So it was alright.
